  • Our Teeccino is naturally caffeine-free herbal coffee, roasted and ground to brew and taste just like regular coffee. It is certified organic and contains numerous natural plant-based antioxidants from carob, dates, figs and almonds. Unlike regular coffee, Teeccino is non-acidic and gives you a natural energy boost from nutrients rather than stimulants.

Note that although Teeccino contains barley it has been independently tested (University of Nebraska) to show it doesn't contain gluten. Although gluten is present in barley, it typically does not extract out of the barley using conventional coffee brewing techniques.
  • Pour boiling water over the Tee-bag in a cup and steep for 3-5 minutes. Dunk the bag several times in the beginning for the best brew. Use two Tee-bags for a stronger brew in a larger mug or tea pot. Add plant based milk and natural sweetener, such as coconut sugar, coconut nectar, or agave, as you prefer.

    - J.B. (Maryland, USA)

"I am so happy that I happened upon Teeccino. These Vanilla Nut Tee-bags are delicious and full bodied. I have stomach issues and shouldn't have coffee. I also have gluten sensitivity and cannot have gluten. Apparently, even though Teeccino contains barley, no gluten is present in the brewed drink. I have had no problems with it whatsoever. I am thrilled to have such a tasty coffee substitute that stands on its own in terms of its complex flavour. "

  • Trade Aid’s organic coconut milk is authentic, thick and tastes rich, creamy and mildly sweet. It is classified as a “functional food” because it provides many health benefits beyond its nutritional content. Coconut milk is also a dairy-free alternative, as well as being soy-free, gluten-free and GMO-free.

Trade Aid purchases this quality coconut milk from organic coconut farming groups in Bang Saphan District, south of Bangkok. These coconut farmers are striving to protect their environment, to earn sustainable livelihood and to be able to care for their families and community.

Our coconut 'milk' is more like a coconut cream - when purchasing coconut milk check your fat content to see whether it's really coconut milk or cream. You want ~18% for a gorgeous coconut cream to use in recipes - you can always dilute it yourself with water if you're wanting a more coconut milk consistency.
  • Ideal for curries, soups, baking or other preparations where coconut milk is used. You can also use in raw desserts to make a creamy base, and as a substitute for regular dairy cream.

  • "I love the flavour and texture of this coconut milk, it's my favourite to use in all my sweet and savoury recipes. Many coconut milks/creams separate easily, but this one is lovely and creamy making it great for the insides of raw cheesecakes and making your own Coconut Cashew Creams (try my recipe!). Whilst this product is called coconut "milk", it's more like a coconut cream and so I recommend using it as such."

    - Buffy Ellen, founder of begoodorganics.com (Auckland, New Zealand)

"As an avid consumer of coconut milk, I've tried every brand there is, but none of them can compare to the incredible texture and pure flavour of this one. No funny aftertaste and an incredibly creamy texture, as well as ethical and organic to boot- it can't be beaten!"

  • Brazil nuts taste rich and creamy, and their meat is similar in texture to coconut. To fully appreciate them, it's important to know where they come from. The brazil nut tree is gigantic, reaching a height of 30-45 metres or more, and grows very slowly - it takes 10-30 years before producing nuts. However, it can also live a long life of up to 800 years. The tree requires a specific species of bee to pollinate its flowers which produce the fruit, and a small ground mammal called the agouti to break open the pods and spread the seeds. For these reasons, the Amazon is the only place brazil nuts have been grown successfully and why they are so precious. Older brazil nut trees can produce around 300 or more fruit annually. When the fruit is ripe, it falls from the tree with a loud crashing sound, and inside each fruit pod are 12 to 25 delectable brazil nuts.

  • “This is great stuff! I did research on the benefits of flaxseed and with some reservations, decided to give flaxseed a try. I am beyond thrilled I gave it a try. I have been grinding it and mixing it in my protein shakes. Not only is it filling (very high in fiber and protein), but it tastes great!"

    - S. Tran (United States)

"I love using ground flaxseed to make an egg substitute in many of my baking recipes - simply grind up your flaxseed in a processor/blender (or use whole), then whisk together 1 tbsp of flaxseed with 3 tbsp of water and leave for a few minutes until it forms a gel. Try my Beetroot Blueberry Muffins to see how great it works!"

  • Originating thousands of years ago in China, buckwheat has been a part of the diets of many Asian and European cultures for many years. It is used to make Japan's beloved soba noodles, delicious gallettes in France and blinis in Russia. As well as providing a nutty flavour to your dish, buckwheat is also a fantastic source of dietary fibre and plant-based protein.

Contrary to its name, buckwheat has nothing to do with wheat, and is instead actually a fruit seed related to rhubarb or sorrel. This means that it is naturally gluten-free. It can be used in place of rice, couscous or pasta, or cooked with your favourite plant-based milk for a delicious breakfast porridge.
  • You can use these grains in any place where you would normally serve rice, couscous or pasta. They can also be cooked with plant-based milk for a delicious porridge, or served toasted to give salads a satisfying crunch.

  • “These buckwheat groats are extremely versatile. More often than not, I will add them to oatmeal (hot or overnight oats) and once they've soaked I have thrown them into smoothies. I plan to also go savory with them as well as add them into granola recipes. They are crunchy and nutty in flavor and I have also taken to munching one or two right out of the bag."

    - T. Sundstrom (USA)

"Ceres' Buckwheat is one of my go-to ingredients, as it is versatile, easy to work with, and its nutty flavour mixes well in sweet or savoury recipes. A personal favourite is to mix it with cacao powder, spices, and chopped dried fruit to make homemade raw granola, or to mix it in with salads."

    • The toasted Nori sheets usually found in most shops and always in normal commercial sushi is green coloured and cooked at very high temperature and known to contain carcinogens caused by the high temperatures used in processing. We suggest you avoid this toasted nori. Instead, we suggest you use our Raw Nori Sheets which have been dried under 40° C and do not contain carcinogens. This raw nori is the best available and is prized by raw and living food eaters. It has a delicious flavour, a dark brown/black colour and are of a stronger consistency which make them harder to tear than the toasted nori sheets.
    • Use this delicious low-fat, nutrient-dense food wrap to make raw nori rolls (wraps).

  • "I love these dried apricots, they are soft and really sweet. I give them to my toddler and steam them with apple and make a puree for my 6 month old. They don't have the sharp tang that conventional bright orange dried apricots have so are much more palatable for kids and so much healthier too without the nasty sulfur and preservatives."

    - Tracey Huxtable (Whangarei, New Zealand)

"I was a bit tentative about using apricots without sulphur but they are really good. I have used them in cooking and even eat them out of the packet. Yum. No-one has noticed the difference, they are just healthier."

  • Apple Syrup is a natural gluten-free and dairy-free sweetener. It is suitable for vegetarians and vegans, and is a perfect alternative to refined white sugar. With a unique and subtly sweet flavour, it works beautifully in all your favourite baked goods, to give them just a hint of apple flavour. It's also perfect drizzled over pancakes, as a maple syrup substitute.

Chantal Organics' apple syrup is minimally processed and contains no additives, artificial preservatives, colours or emulsifiers, so all the great nutrients are retained to benefit you and your body. As if that weren't amazing enough, it's made right here in New Zealand from locally grown organic apples.
  • Apple Syrup is a great alternative for sugar and can be used in baking as a natural sweetener.

We highly recommend using it in your favourite baked goods, to add a light touch of apple flavour - our Pear and Ginger Cake, for example, tastes all the more heavenly when made with apple syrup. It also works wonderfully in unbaking as well, pairing perfectly in our Lemon, Coconut and Apricot Fudge Slice. Lastly, it's an amazing substitute for maple syrup, with an equally unique and rich flavour. Give it a go in our Maple and Walnut Ice Cream, for a next-level flavour experience!

  • This Activated Buckwheat is not only our go-to ingredient for unbaking, they are also a rich source of nutrients and minerals, such as protein, all essential amino acids, iron and more. They are also a rich source of fibre, which helps to keep you full without loading up on calories. We're certain that, once you've tried these versatile little morsels you'll be adding them to your daily diet, whether that be in raw treats or in your morning muesli!

These organic buckwheat groats are soaked in water until they begin to sprout. They are then dehydrated at low temperatures (below 47°C), until they are really crunchy, preserving their delicate nutty flavour.
  • These groats are a great addition to many meals, our favourite uses being added to homemade granola or added to porridge for a bit of crunch with your morning meal. You can eat at a handful sprinkled over your smoothie bowl, or mix them with nuts and fruit to create your own healthful scroggin mix.

Our number one use, however, is added to the bases of raw treats such as our go-to Healthy Ginger Crunch, or mixed through our Raw Afghan Brownie.
