  • Our Matakana SuperFoods Sacha Inchi Oil, also known as Inca Inchi Oil ("Almond of the Incas"), has a perfect balance of omega 3, 6 and 9 essential fatty acids (EFAs). It is one of the highest plant-based sources of Omega 3s in the world (48% Omega 3, and 84% total EFAs), making it a fantastic safe, healthy, mercury-free, sustainable and compassionate alternative to seafood and fish oil capsules. Omega 3 can't be produced by our bodies and therefore must be consumed. What's more, the Inca Inchi brand of Sacha Inchi Oil has recently won gold medals at the European Food Fair in France for best new culinary oil. Its mild, nutty flavour is rapidly becoming a favourite amongst foodies around the world.
  • Sacha Inchi oil is best served raw and unheated in order to retain its Omega 3 properties. It can be used in much the same way as you would use extra virgin olive oil, avocado oil or flaxseed oil – in salad dressings, vinaigrettes, pestos, drizzled on vegetables, through pasta, or used as a dip for freshly baked bread with dukkah. You can also add a tablespoon to your favourite smoothie for an extra Omega hit. Or make our favourite salad dressing by mixing 2 Tablespoons Sacha Inchi Oil with 1 Tablespoon apple cider vinegar or lemon juice, a pinch of organic sea salt, black pepper and some fresh chopped herbs.     You can also use as a nourishing skin and body moisturiser, or massage oil.

    Note: Always use Sacha Inchi Oil raw, it will lose its beneficial Omega 3 properties if heated. Once opened keep in the fridge.
