Cassia is the bold, slightly fiery sibling of Cinnamon. Steam distilled from the bark and leaves of Cinnamomum cassia, a tree that has been treasured in Chinese cooking and tradition for thousands of years, it has a rich, sweet spice that instantly makes a home feel warm and inviting.

It is a wonderful oil for the colder months: diffuse it with citrus for a cosy, festive feel, or use the tiniest amount to bring depth to baking, chai and slow-cooked dishes.

    Aroma: Warm, spicy, cinnamon-like.
  • • Aromatic use: Add three to four drops to the diffuser of choice.
    • Internal use: Add one or two drops to food. Start with a toothpick dipped in the bottle, as it is very strong.
    • Topical use: Not listed on the NZ label. Cassia is a hot oil, so keep it for the diffuser and the kitchen.

    Ways to use it
    • Diffuse with Wild Orange and Clove for a warm winter blend
    • Add a touch to apple crumble, porridge or homemade granola
    • Stir into a spiced chai or hot chocolate
    • Diffuse when friends come over for an inviting, cosy atmosphere

Cautions: Keep out of reach of children. Possible skin sensitivity. If pregnant, nursing or under a doctor's care, consult your physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears and sensitive areas.
  • 15mL: Cassia oil (Cinnamomum cassia), bark and leaf.
