Clove is pure warmth in a bottle. Steam distilled from the dried flower buds of Eugenia caryophyllata, the same little spice you press into a Christmas ham, it is rich in eugenol, which gives it that deep, spicy, almost leathery character.

It is one of the most powerful oils in the range, so it is always diluted well on the skin. Diffused with citrus or cinnamon, it creates a wonderfully cosy, welcoming home through the cooler months.

Aroma: Very spicy, warm and woody, with a subtle leathery note.
  • • Aromatic use: Add one to two drops to the diffuser of choice.
    • Topical use: Dilute one to two drops well with a carrier oil, then apply to the desired area.
    • Internal use: Not listed on the NZ label. Keep this one for the diffuser and diluted topical use.

    Ways to use it
    • Diffuse with Wild Orange and Cinnamon Bark for a cosy winter blend
    • Blend, well diluted, into a warming massage oil
    • Diffuse with Frankincense for a grounding, spicy aroma
    • Add a drop to a pine cone or potpourri bowl at Christmas

Cautions: Keep out of reach of children. Possible skin sensitivity. If pregnant, nursing or under a doctor's care, consult your physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears and sensitive areas.
  • 15mL: Clove oil (Eugenia caryophyllata), bud.
