Melissa, also known as lemon balm, is one of the rarest oils in the collection. The leaves of Melissa officinalis hold very little oil, so it takes an enormous amount of plant material to fill this tiny bottle, which explains both its price and its reputation.

The aroma is fresh, lemony and softly herbal, and it has been treasured for centuries for its calming, uplifting character. One drop is all it takes, so this 5mL bottle lasts a surprisingly long time.

    Aroma: Citrus, herbaceous.
  • • Aromatic use: Add three to four drops to the diffuser of choice.
    • Topical use: Apply one to two drops to the desired area, diluted with a carrier oil to minimise any skin sensitivity.
    • Internal use: Dilute one drop in 120mL of liquid.

    Ways to use it
    • Apply a drop, diluted, to the chest and back of the neck when you need to unwind
    • Diffuse at bedtime for a calm, restful atmosphere
    • Add one drop to a cup of herbal tea

Cautions: Keep out of reach of children. Possible skin sensitivity. If pregnant, nursing or under a doctor's care, consult your physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears and sensitive areas.
  • 5mL: Melissa oil (Melissa officinalis), leaf and top.
